Why join

Contracting is one of the most technically demanding and relationally complex aspects of team coaching practice and one of the least examined. Mastering it is essential if you want to unlock the true benefits of coaching for a team and help them transform. Yet, the live reality can still catch even experienced practitioners off guard when a brief shift

We talk about it, we teach it, we reflect on it in supervision. And yet the live reality of it the moment the brief shifts: the team wants something that isn't yours to give, or what's in the room bears little resemblance to what was agreed six weeks ago can still catch even experienced practitioners off guard.

This day creates space to sit with that reality honestly and to do it in the company of people who understand it from the inside.

Drawing on the principles of supervision and reflective practice, Contracting for Emergence brings experienced team coaches together to work with live cases, think alongside skilled peers, and examine the edges of their own practice in a way that is rigorous, relational, and genuinely useful.

IS THIS EVENT RIGHT FOR YOU?

This masterclass is designed for experienced team coaches who are less interested in adding to their toolkit and more interested in understanding what they already do and why.

If you find yourself drawn to the harder questions in your practice, curious about what sits beneath the surface of a contracting conversation, and ready to bring real material into a space of honest peer inquiry, this day is for you.

This is a professionally stretching, community-centred experience for practitioners who take their development seriously and want to be challenged as well as supported.

Perfect for:

  • Experienced team coaches from any school or tradition who want to deepen their practice rather than broaden their toolkit.

  • Practitioners who work regularly with contracting complexity shifting briefs, competing stakeholder agendas, unclear accountability and want dedicated space to examine it.

  • Those who value reflective practice as a route to professional growth, and who are looking for a community of peers working at a similar level of depth and seriousness
